Dr. Lulu’s Story

Dr. Lulu aka the Momatrician is a Nigerian-born, retired pediatrician and mom of a non-binary young adult. She is an International speaker, bestselling author, freelance writer and suicide prevention activist.

A former Lt. Col and commander in the US Air Force, she currently works with parents of Queer and Out LGBTQ+ 🏳️‍🌈 kids.

She coaches them on their journey towards understanding, accepting and supporting their children.

She speaks publicly and writes on parenting, childhood trauma, LGBTQ+ acceptance and youth suicide prevention, and has been featured on local and international television including the nationally syndicated CBS morning news with Gayle King.

She is the bestselling author of How to Teach Your Children About Racism, and all her books (bestsellers) are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and any where good books are sold. Her most recent book is an anthology of immigrant women: The Warrior Women Project.

She has been featured multiple times on The Washington Post, Parents Magazine, BlackPast.org, Black Parenting magazine, Huffington Post, Thrive Global, KevinMD blog and numerous other online media outlets.
